Comments

Found a way to Hack both Disqus and Google+ comments in the blog at the same time so I could move away from Google+ comments while not losing all the past comments. I really wish there was an easy way to migrate all the G+ comments, but Google made sure this wasn't possible.

It's not looking really nice, but you should now be able to choose the way you want to comment at the bottom of every posts. I'll probably try to tweak it a bit still so that both don't show by default when I have time.

Considering I'm not using G+ anymore, most everyone I know moved away from G+ and I want to exit Google's ecosystem eventually (this includes blogger) I need to phase out Google+ comments.

4 years of drawing!

Kinda late on posting this this year, as of September 6th, I have been drawing for 4 years.

This year I only did 1 doujin, for winter comiket, and I'm not participating at LuckyFes, but I did make 3 page for a collabo book to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Lucky Star anime.
Neige is finished as a series now, I''m kinda happy with it, the ending was as cute as I wished it to be.
This one also had more page and was more work overall. It was still a very fun experience, and I applied for winter comiket again. I don't know if I'll be accepted, but I'm making a Neptunia series book. This year i played Megadimension Neptunia Victory II and completely fell in love with it. I love the characters, the music, the story, and the gameplay was improved too. So I wanted to make a book about it, if I'm not accepted for winter comiket I'll try for comic1 and summer comiket.

I decided not to apply for summer comiket in order to improve my art, dunno if it really worked though since a lot of other variables happened that shaped my art this year, like the fact that I bought a Wacom MobileStudio Pro. Having this now, I'm fully diginal, skipping the paper step I used to do for the previous illustrations/doujins.

Here's "this year in drawing":

This time it's kinda easy to see improvement, but like I said I think most of it is more because of new tools/techniques than skill itself. You can see how good the last 2 Ema I did are compared to before, it's because I got tips from other Lucky star artist about how to make it so the ink doesn't get absorbed by the wood so much, so the lines are better, and they also showed me a pretty simple technique to transfer a sketch to wood, so now I do the illustration before, then transfer on wood, and finish the lines after.

As I did the previous years, I did a Poll to ask you which is your favorite illustration among the illustrations I did last year, please vote on it and leave a comment explaining your choice so I can use it to improve!

Best Drawing 2016/09 to 2017/09

Once again, I'm gonna ask you all to vote on your favorite among my drawings this year.

Got new tools this year which completely changed the way I drew, so this should be interesting. I used 3D models for proportion on some of these (namely the ones which look good lol)
Tried doing this to try to understand proportions more, but ended up having hard time not using it anymore.

Let me know why you choose the one you did, if you feel like it, and I'll use the comments to get better!
