The apartment and job hunt is open

In about one month I'm leaving Canada, to go live in japan, for a period of a minimum 6 month, and we'll see how long I can manage to stay after this.
1 month goes by very quickly. So I started searching for an apartment and a job.
After looking up at about 500 apartment/shared house/guest house I think I have settled on a nice, and not too expensive apartment near Nakano. While not being Akihabara, Nakano is still a really nice place, with the Nakano Broadway, containing a lot of Otaku shops (most of which are Madarake). It's also one of the stations on the Yamanote line, meaning I can reach any important station quite easily.

The biggest problem I was facing is; an apartment in Tokyo is expensive, and while I do have a lot of money to back me up, in case I can't get a job, it would be safer to just get a shared house at first.
I also found one that was interesting, 10 minutes from Akihabara, one of the cheapest. However when I contacted them, the real price was actually 10000 yen more expensive than advertised., putting it's price too close to the price of the apartment. The little savings were not worth the drop in life quality implied by a shared house.

While I was searching for apartments, I also stumbled upon an advertisement for an English teaching school in japan, looking for instructors. The school is called Gaba, offer really flexible schedules, a relatively good pay. I applied and they answered me, asked for more information. I sent this yesterday night, so now I'm waiting for an update on this.
If this goes well, and they take me, that would make the whole waiting process a lot less stressful.

More updates coming soon!
