Ef - A tales of tears

No there is not a new Ef season coming. I was just watching some of the second season's ep, to get to where the Anime club at Laval University is. And once again I feel so down after watching it. This Anime is so great, the story is deep, the animation and art is... crazy... it's so great... wonderful... the music is touching, and perfect in tone with the show... but the story is so sad, brings tears from deep inside...

This is a wonderful show, but one that takes a strong heart to watch...

Albatrosicks (アルバトロシクス)

I posted one of their song earlier, but who are they?

Albatrosicks is a band formed by pretty much the same people from IOSYS, except instead of doing remakes of songs from Touhou (or other game/anime) they make their own compositions.

I got to know the band because I was wondering why Miko was not singing on IOSYS' last albums. So someone pointed out to me that it was because she was doing this album of Albatrosicks.
Miko probably has the cutest voice in the world, so I needed to listen to Albatrosicks.

And I loved it!
Their last album "STAR CRACKER" Is simply wonderful. If you like IOSYS you're gonna like this too. Miko's voice is sublime as always, DR_ARM's mix are pretty much perfect, the drums are great and the guitar too. Countess YOUNO's lyric fits in just well, and the story, wich I dont fully understand yet considering no translations of their songs exist yet, seems to be good.
The Albatrosicks is a ship conducted by rebels you fight againts the evil アスモデウス (Asmodeus) empire, and liberate planets from their grip.
Pretty classic, but always interesting.
アスモデウス (Asmodeus), Key to Your Heart, Cosmo Phoenix and ひとつうえのおとこ (hitotsuu no otoko) are song you just have to listen to.
The last track of the CD is a special, out of the story song, and pretty much just fan service... and you know what? it's pure Genius. Miko's voice and fan service? what can I ask more?

their previous albums ('Planet Liberation' and 'E') are so far less interesting but still good. I was not able to get my hands on their first album yet so I can't comment on that one.

Inglorious Bastards

I came back from seeing this movie tonight.
You may have seen the trailer or the movie... Tarantino with Brad Pitt.

I think it was a pretty good movie. A classic Tarantino movie, with lots of blood and free violence. Well done free violence.
The acting of everyone in the movie was wonderful. Especially Christoph Waltz who did a wonderful job as Landa.
The music was nice even if some of them we're recycled from Kill Bill.
The ending is ... EPIC...

By the way, don't go see that movie if you don't like violence and blood.

Cosplay Imaginaire

So this week-end it was the Cosplay day at L'Imaginaire.
I had my new costume ready, and I loved the reaction from the people. You should have seen all these traumatized faces, it was priceless!
I love my Reimu cosplay, it's nice, and easy to wear... beside the corset wich I took off at about noon.

News (Good!!??) about me, after a long time!

Lost of stuff happened to me lately, but I haven't been blogging because I was feeling pretty down....
Had to go back to work at Tim Horton because I had no money left. That caused a big hit to my pride.
Then my car died.
... Then I said, well I'll just go buy a new car, I wanted a Mazda 3 2010. but apparently I have some bad credit, and I couldn't get it, tried every trick, and I was unable to get any credit.
I was getting pretty desperate, but this week everything was put back into place. Beenox called me, I went to the Interview, and I'll start working there as a tester Monday!!
I'm really happy about that!
Then I had a meeting at the bank, and they gave me a 5k loan for a Car. So I'll be able to get one, old but still one!
And that was much needed because I'll be working 5:30 pm - 2am at Beenox, so no buses when I'm done.
Lets hope I stay on that positive roll for the next 2 weeks! then maybe I,ll try to get the last thing missing *wink*


I'm also a big fan of Saki lately, a great anime about a subject that would make you stay away from it. An Anime about Mahjong... Well Gonzo pulled it off remarkably. I love the show, the characters are cute/cool/fun. You just love them all, even the bad ones. The animations are great, the voices are splendid. Truly a masterwork.

Le toit est reparer, y leur reste a tirer les joins, peinturer et poser un nouveau plancher... tant qua moi c dla job botcher mais bon...

Anime north was CRAZY, mais shu redescendu de mon nuage plus vite que l'année passé.

X-Men les origines: Wolverine

ATTENTION SPOILERS

Je suis allé voir le film de Wolverine hier. Malgré que je n'avais pas lu the Origins avant, donc je ne pourrais pas juger a quelle point le film étais fidèle a la BD, mais, je connais quand même asser les X-Men pour donner une bonne opinion générale!

Le film étais tout plein d'action! Des combats violents, bien filmé, rapide, a coupé le soufle. Des explosions de touts bords, tous cotés, et bien sure, plein de chose qui se font couper par des griffes!

Hugh Jackman Joue a nouveau merveilleusement bien Wolverine, que vous l'aimiez ou non, il est Wolverine.
La plupart des acteurs en fait font tous tres bien leur job, bon Cast.
Gambit étais a la hauteur de ce que je m'attendais, bien qu'on ne le voit pas énormément.

Aviez vous entendu parlé des différentes fins? et bien différentes fins n'est pas vraiment le mot... après les crédit ya 2 petit bonus différent (so far) que vous auriez pu voir. Les voici: MEGA SPOILER BTW

Dragon Ball Evolution

Bon faut ben que j'en parle... apres lavoir attendu si longtemp... apres avoir eu si peur a cause des anonces.
Le film est quand meme pas si pire! C'est sur que faut aublier skon connais de dragon ball. Les niveau de puissance fit pas (meme juste dans le film sans conaitre dragonball). Les personages se ressemblent pas psychologiquement, a part Roshi... Chichi est pas asser hystérique, Bulma est trop ... sharpshopoter... courageuse... Un bon sens de l'humour, j'en ai 1. Malheureusement ya du monde qui n'ent n'ont pas. Et sa peut vraiment causer des problèmes.

Watchmen

Vraiment un excellent film, même si la scène de cul au milieu étais de trop.
C'étais crampant par exemple, comme le film a été coté imbécilement 13+ au canada, les enfants on le droit de rentré avec des adultes... Quand on regarde le trailer, on pense que c'est un film de super-hero ben ordinaire, on se rend vite compte que c'est pas exactement sa ^^.

Anyway, en avant de nous yavais un flow de genre 12 ans ... ou moin, et quand la scene de cul a commencer, il se cachait les yeux, la je riais... mais... un moment donner sa deviens vraiment trop explicite, pi la son pere le tenais contre lui, nous on étais cramper en arrière... tk c'étais drôle...

Mais a part sa, le film est vraiment excellent et je le conseil a tout le monde... de 16 ans et plus meton? :P

Ok encore une foi un petit text sur l'amour.
Shu vraiment tanner de l'amour. j'ai beau me dire "fuck that" shu pas capable, It's like I need to actually love someone, to have a goal... to be able to go forward...

Code Geass

Faut ben j'en parle... tout le monde qui me connaissent doivent maintenant le savoir, Code Geass est mon Anime préféré.
C'est un must see pour tout le monde.
Même si ya des Mecha, et que vous aimez pas les mecha, écoutez le quand même, l'histoire et le développement des personnages est tellement bien fait, les mecha sont vraiment pas la chose la plus importante dans code geass.
Si vous aimez pas les dessin de CLAMP (Allo mat) écoutez le quand même, les intrigues sont tellement profonde qu'il sera facile de passé a coté des dessins.

Si vous aimez les Mecha ou les Dessin de CLAMP ou les 2, et bien c'est encore mieux :D

G-Anime 2009

Comme plusieurs dentre vous le savent j'étais a G-Anime en fds.
C'étais la premiere année de cette convention, et c'étais un franc succes, meme si il manquais un aspet gaming...

Le fait que la convention soit relativement petite a son charma aussi, c'est sur que sa diminue l'efficacité de la dealer's room vu que ya moin de monde, ya aussi moin de marchand.

Je sait pas si c'est juste parce que je me dégene avec le temp mais j'ai trouver sa plus facile de parlé avec du monde, et j'ai demander leurs mails too, donc plein de nouveaux amis.

Les panel etais bien, et comme la convention etais petite je sentais que c'étais plus facile de s'impliquer... mais encore une foi c'est p-e juste parce que je suis moin géner qu'avant....

Les mensonges, un mal nécessaire?

Ma résolution en 2008 étais d'areter de mentir. bien sur j'ai pas réussit, c'est pratiquement impossible, mais j'ai quand même diminuer ÉNORMÉMENT mes mensonges. J'ai dit ce que je pensait, et je jme suis rendu compte que dire la vérité dans un monde rempli de mensonges, c'est pas une bonne idée.
Le monde aime pas la vérité. Ils disent qu'il veulent la savoir mais quand tu la dit, le monde sont jamais content.
La vérité est pas belle car les mensonges nous ont habituer a un monde maquiller.

Personnellement je crois encore qu'on ne devrais plus mentir... mais... Tout ce que je fait c'est me tirer dans le pied.
Ma manie de vouloir dire ce que je pense et de ne plus mentir, ma mener a plusieurs échecs cette année.

Dire qu'avant j'étais tout le contraire. Maitre de la persuasion et de la collecte d'information, je pouvais manipuler le monde comme des puppets. Maintenant j'ai de la misère a comprendre ski se passe a 2 pas de moi.
Faut être vraiment imbécile pour s'attendre a ske le monde te disent la vérité.
On vie dans un monde hypocrite et menteur, le seul moyen d'y survivre est d'entrer dans le jeux. j'ai dit hier mon premier vrai mensonge conscient et délibéré depuis 1 ans.
